Celebrating Employee Ownership Month: Vac-Con’s Commitment to Giving Back

October was a special time for Vac-Con as we joined Holden Industries and its subsidiaries across the country in celebration of Employee Ownership Month. Sponsored by The ESOP Association, this month-long event highlighted the power and pride of employee ownership.

This year, Vac-Con’s ESOP Communications Advisory Committee took the lead in organizing the 3rd Annual Holden Food Drive Competition. With tremendous enthusiasm and teamwork, Vac-Con, Vector and Peirce-Eagle Equipment collected an astounding total of 7,101 items. This generous collection wasn’t just about competition, it was about compassion.

The items gathered during the food drive were donated to support victims of Hurricane Helene in the Glen Ayre community in western North Carolina and the surrounding areas. The hurricane caused significant devastation in the region, leaving many families in need of basic supplies. Thanks to the dedication and generosity of Vac-Con’s employee-owners, these donations helped provide relief to those affected.

At Vac-Con, employee ownership is about more than shared responsibility—it’s about shared values. The commitment to helping others reflects our collective spirit and demonstrates how we, as employee-owners, embody the company’s mission of building strong communities.

We are proud to celebrate Employee Ownership Month by giving back and making a meaningful difference. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the 3rd Annual Holden Food Drive. Together, we are not just building equipment, we are building hope, resilience, and a brighter future for those in need.
