E.L. Industries Customer Celebrates New Equipment with Wash-Down Ceremony
A community in Costa Rica welcomed the delivery of 25 custom pumper fire trucks with a traditional wash-down ceremony.
E.L. Industries proudly distributed the 25 Marion pumper fire trucks mounted on International truck chassis earlier this year. The wash-down ceremony provided the community with an opportunity to see the latest investment from their local fire department.
Wash-down or Wet-down ceremonies have been a tradition of fire departments for centuries. Origins date back to horse-drawn fire units, where teams would hose down the horses and equipment after a call in preparation for the next emergency.
Today, wash-down ceremonies are an initiation of the new equipment and an opportunity to involve local residents. Enjoy the video below on behalf of the team at E.L. Industries.
