This efficient product-to-package ratio positively impacts municipal solid waste (MSW) processes, energy use in manufacturing and transportation, and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Plus, when compared to other packaging formats, flexible packaging has the potential to promote extended product shelf life and decreased food waste.
