Nosco Wins FPA Silver Achievement Award

Nosco, Inc., a subsidiary of Holden Industries, Inc., is pleased to announce that on March 21, 2024, it was awarded a Silver Achievement Award by the Flexible Packaging Association (FPA) in the 68th Annual Flexible Packaging Achievement Awards Competition. This marks the third year in which Nosco has been recognized by the FPA for its innovations in printed flexible packaging solutions.

This year’s packaging achievement award was earned through the outstanding shelf impact of the Earth To Malibu sachets produced at Nosco’s Packaging Innovation Center. The sachets feature unique metallic effects that attract the eye and contrast with a deep soft touch tactile finish to highlight the premium brand and products.

“Earth To Malibu’s founders partnered with Nosco to craft sample-sized sachets for their premium skincare line, driven by their personal battle with melanoma and a deep commitment to eco-conscious sun protection,” said Rob Davis, Nosco’s VP of Marketing. “With the aid of our graphics services designer, Earth To Malibu created pouches that seamlessly align with their primary packaging components and feature a premium soft touch laminate for an opulent look and feel.”

FPA received a historic number of entries during this year’s competition—106 package entries were submitted, with a total of 332 entries (some packages were entered into multiple categories). Nosco’s award was one of only twenty-two packages that were honored with Achievement Awards that focused on sustainability and shelf impact.

Chelsey Quick, VP, Client Success, Industry Intelligence Inc., one of the competition judges, observed, “I loved some of the conversions from rigid to flexible. We're seeing some interesting applications of bringing new products into the flexibles space, which is exciting for everyone.”
