Earlier this fall, Setco hosted a successful, socially distanced, private, open house to show key products, including an enhanced, customized spindle specifically manufactured for the automotive industry, that maximizes performance to improve productivity, (decrease downtime), reduce maintenance costs and improve overall spindle reliability. These new spindles are equipped with Setco’s most advanced products such as the AirShield ®, the most reliable bearing shield in the industry, vibration monitoring, and a redesign bearing package. The AirShield eliminates spindle failure when caused by bearing failure due to contamination from coolant ingress, condensation, particulate contamination, or chip damage. Proven performance with over 25 years real-world experience with no failures attributed to the AirShield®.  Extensive experience in the automotive sector, and strong competencies, are what interested a large US automotive manufacturer in attending Setco’s invite only day-long event. For those who could not attend in person, it was also hosted on Microsoft Teams and those who participated said they “felt as if they were on the Setco shop floor".  With the event being successful, and certainly a bright spot to this pandemic year, the team looks forward to having more of these events in the future.
