This year, Wildeck kicked-off its annual toy drive for the Toys for Tots program on November 18th. Employees were invited to give either purchased toys or monetary donations that would be used to buy additional toys. The drive ran until December 11th and the generosity of Wildeck’s employee owners did not disappoint. In addition to collecting a plethora of toys, Wildeck was able to raise $255.00. These funds were then used at a nearby store that was running a “buy two, get two” promotion, expanding the impact of Wildeck’s contributions. On December 12th, Lance Corporal Jake Banach came to collect Wildeck’s donations. Wildeck is proud to have helped make the holidays a little bit bright for the children in our community.

The Toys for Tots program is run by the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation that was created in 1991 at the behest of the United States Marine Corps. The program’s mission is “to collect new unwrapped toys and distribute those toys to less fortunate children at Christmas.” By providing a tangible sign of hope to economically disadvantaged children at Christmas, the foundation hopes to play an active role in the development of one of our nation’s most valuable resources, our children. All toys collected are distributed to children that are aged 12 and under.

Wildeck is grateful to all their employee owners that took the time to contribute. We look forward to collecting donations again next year.
