Vac-Con Supervisor Completes Leadership Training

The leadership team at Vac-Con understands the importance of providing opportunities for employee-owners to refine their skills and learn new ones. A long-standing relationship with First Coast Manufacturers Association (FCMA) has created a channel for Vac-Con employee owners to join professional groups and workshops focused on improving leadership skills, management style, and comprehension of business acumen.

This quarter, Cory Smith — Fabrication and Machine Shop Supervisor — graduated from the FCMA Frontline Supervisor Program.

At graduation, Cory and his colleagues from a range of other manufacturing companies in the area shared how this experience raised their self-awareness and gave them a better understanding of how their communication and leadership style impacts their teams. The course honed in on taking responsibility for your team and putting new actions into place to solve issues and improve processes.

Vac-Con is excited to continue working with the FCMA Leadership Academy to encourage employee owners to develop their skills and grow within the company.

Congratulations, Cory!
