Vac-Con Hones in on Hydro-Excavation Market

Vac-Con is excited to announce the upcoming release of a new unit – the redesigned X-Cavator Hydrovac – at the 2020 WWETT Show in Indianapolis, Indiana this February.

The hydro-excavation market began in northern territories of Canada years ago, allowing operators the ability to dig non-destructively as well as in below freezing temperatures. This method has slowly been making its way south across the border and is now one of the fastest growing markets in the United States.

Vac-Con has offered a hydrovac unit for years. However, the demands of these operators and the environments that they work in are evolving, and the sales, marketing, and engineering teams at Vac-Con realized it was time for a product revamp.

“We are excited for our dealers and end-users to see this unit,” said Bryce Rieger, National Sales Manager. “We have taken the time to collect their feedback from the field as well as our own research to ensure that this unit exceeds expectations. This product release will positively impact our strategy in the hydro-excavation market.”

Product teasers are already circulating in industry publications and digital platforms, with official product releases scheduled to coincide with the exhibition in February. Vac-Con will increase its presence in hydrovac-focused exhibitions and publications, catering to those target markets that will find the new X-Cavator to be the right fit for their fleet.
