Wildeck Begins Move to New Waukesha, Wisconsin Location

One of the largest U.S. manufacturers of industrial steel work platforms, vertical lifts (VRCs), ladders and safety guarding products signs lease on new space to increase capacity for growing customer demands.

Since its founding in 1976, Wildeck has grown to become the nation’s largest manufacturer of industrial work platforms (mezzanines), vertical reciprocating conveyors (VRCs), rideable material lifts (RMLs), custom ladders, access platforms, and safety guarding products. Company growth has prompted Wildeck to move their corporate headquarters in Waukesha, WI (405 Commerce Street), to a larger facility approx. 3 miles down the road at 1900 E. North Street.

The new campus is more than three times the size of the existing facility and spans over 21.97 acres. VJS Construction Services out of Pewaukee, Wisconsin is heading the construction at the facility where renovations at the facility have already commenced with a full remodel, including new dock doors, roof, lighting, windows, and painting. Onsite manufacturing is currently underway with consolidations from several of Wildeck’s local mfg. sites. The current office buildings will be razed and rebuilt to showcase Wildeck’s new Corporate Office and Innovation Center with a targeted date of opening in early 2024.

“We are dedicated to building a world class campus that improves the working conditions for our Employee Owners while creating an environment that is dedicated to enhanced manufacturing through automation, new product innovation, and technology along with a hands-on experiential training facility for our customers,” said Dan Lorenz, President of Wildeck. “This new space will support and provide substantial growth potential for Wildeck to increase our business footprint and our relationships with customers and the community.”

“VJS Construction is thrilled to be leading the charge on the construction for Wildeck’s new facility” said Katherine Kawczynski, Partner, and Director of Architecture at VJS Construction Services, “We love being able to work with companies right here in our community.”

With an emphasis on advanced manufacturing, additional capital investments are being implemented in the new facility to include powder coating, structural fabrication and metal processing technology, fiber laser and robotic welding.

Wildeck products improve supply chain productivity and provide additional capacity, efficiency and safety in manufacturing plants, warehouses, distribution centers, third-party logistics operations, automobile dealerships, retail backrooms and many other facilities.

In addition to the new headquarters, Wildeck operates manufacturing facilities in Goodyear, AZ where additional expansion plans are being explored.
