Wildeck Builds Custom U-Shaped Platforms for Fighter Jet Assembly

Wildeck's Arizona-based manufacturing facility recently completed a large, U-shaped mobile work platform designed for use on an international fighter jet assembly line. This custom-engineered workstand is one of five unique designs that are being built for a major aerospace project overseas.

The U-shaped platform breaks into multiple caster-supported sections that lock together securely around the aircraft body, creating a workspace that has been specially designed for the task at hand. Once assembly is complete, sections can be unlocked and moved to allow for aircraft transfer down the line.

This complex build required careful attention to design to fit around the aircraft body. It also required strict compliance with European safety codes—challenges Wildeck's Arizona team tackled head-on to support advanced aerospace manufacturing.
